According to the physician in our family, the pineapple is a good source of fiber. Especially if you are on a diet, eat a lot of pineapple to appease your hunger and the added benefit is that your weight will decrease. One problem of athletes, especially the long distance riders is not just the thirst but also the hunger that will hound them. It is very common to cyclists during a tour. Eating pineapple can help in this issue against hunger during a long ride.
