For my wife, but she needs about 3" shorter reach than me.
The 20" I looked at in Halfords had exactly the right top
tube length for me - I'm hoping the 18" is shorter.As she's a lapsed cyclist who never got the hang of
derailleurs in the first place, I think hub gears are a
better bet for her as there's no weird front/back
combinations to worry about and the gears all have nice
numbers from 1 to 8. It's also less hassle for me to
maintain and I might nick it occasionally for a
different ride.I think I've also managed to get permission to buy a track
bike for myself :-)
