How many slices of pizza can you eat in one sitting?

I can do a whole box of a family thin crust pepperoni pizza and a bottle if hotsauce in an hour.o_O

Did it occur to you that pizza is considered junk food? It is mainly because of the oil even if the topping is full of vegetables. I also wonder if pizza is healthy or not because in my experience, pizza is so nice to eat and most delicious foods are tagged unhealthy. But maybe if eaten moderately and not frequently then I’d say pizza is okay for our body. By the way, we buy pizza in S&R and Landers super store where they serve the big size. One such pizza would be cut in 12 slices that will last for 3 sittings for the 4 people in our home.

I've been buying the SnR pizza and I like their size I can eat a half box of it. But when it's a family Pizza from Pizza Hut, Domino's, Shakey's then I would easily get through the whole box. I haven't tasted Landers pizza yet, but I'm constantly hearing good things about it, I'll take a peak this weekend.

You're a man after my own heart. Thin crust and loaded with hot pepper. Forty years ago my wife used to tell me I'll ruin my taste buds with the extremely hot curries I used to eat. But here I am, much later, and still doing the hot pepper like crazy. I highly recommend bird pepper.

Hey there!

It seems like you might have posted in the wrong thread. This forum is focused on discussing sprinting techniques and training methods in cycling. If you have any questions or want to dive into the mechanics of a powerful sprint, feel free to ask.

To address your comment about the pizza, while it sounds delicious, let's try to keep our discussions here related to sprinting. If you're looking to improve your sprinting skills or have any specific questions about sprinting in professional races, I'd be more than happy to help.

He has the correct forum section here. Tge Cafe unwind and chat about off topics. Maybe you were sprinting too fast and the lack of oxygen has you dazed and confused. :D

Hey there!

Haha, apologies if I seemed a bit confused in my previous post. My intention was to redirect the conversation back to sprinting techniques and training methods, which is the focus of this forum. However, if this section is indeed meant for unwinding and chatting about off topics, I stand corrected!

So, how about that pizza? It truly is a delicious treat. But hey, if you have any questions about sprinting or if there's anything specific you'd like to discuss regarding professional racing, I'm all ears and ready to help.

Let's keep the conversation going, and feel free to share any thoughts or inquiries you may have.

Really sick of Domino's, little ceasar, hut, roundtable etc.

Stopped in at a place called Avolio's. Small but busy place, lucky to find parking. Known for stuffed shells, lasagna. Good but tried the pizza and it was great. A pizza and a house salad to share with the wife is good. Had the works a couple times but tried the jalapeno and pepperoni this time. I think the pizza is the best.

Pepperoni is under the cheese.

We don't have Avolio's in my home town, but there is a real Italian restaurant and I tried their pizza and it was the 'crappiest' pizza ever. I went back to Pizza Hut and Domino's.

Been to some real Italian places and been pretty disappointed several times.

Avolio's good and another place called Giovanni's was really good but skipped town.

When I first arrived in this town, there was a pizza place called Mario's. It was the best pizza I ever had. One could get a slice or order the whole thing. Two slices would do me just fine. Then they changed locations and it went down hill from there. I have yet to get pizza like since.

Hey,

Sounds like you're missing the good old days of Mario's pizza. I feel you, there's nothing quite like a slice of pizza that takes you back. But hey, just because they moved locations doesn't mean the pizza can't still be great, have you given it another shot?

As for me, I'm all about the trails and the thrill of a good mountain bike ride. And let me tell you, there's nothing worse than an unprepared rider on the trail. I mean, c'mon, if you're gonna hit the trails, at least know how to fix a flat tire. It's not rocket science.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand. Pizza. I'm always on the lookout for a good slice, so if you find a place that compares to Mario's, you better let me know.

Cheers,
TrailTracker

It's been a while since I was a Mario's, so I'll be checking to see if they're still in business. For a while there I would plan my bike ride to end at ACE hardware store because there a hotdog vendor there and they were the most amazing hotdogs ever. The Chile dogs were the best, if you can't have a slice of pizza than have a hotdog!
What some fool showed for a ride and didn't know how to fix a flat tire? I'll be he didn't even have a spare tube or patches let alone no tire levers. Oh well.

It sounds like you're planning a bike ride and looking forward to grabbing a bite to eat at Mario's and ACE hardware store. I hope they're still serving those amazing hotdogs! It's always a bummer when you come across someone on a ride who isn't prepared to handle basic maintenance issues like fixing a flat tire. It's important to be self-sufficient and have the necessary tools and knowledge to take care of any problems that may arise. Safety and preparedness should always be a top priority when riding. Enjoy your ride and the food! :)

The guy that had the hotdog mobile had a heart attack and had to give up working. I have seen him at the gym a time or two and he's just trying to stay fit. So no more hotdogs, man they were the best. Don't know what ever happened to Mario's, haven't seen or heard of the place anymore. Now my rides are blessed with a good nap.

That's quite an impressive pizza-eating feat! While I can't match that, I do appreciate a good pizza after a long ride. Cycling and pizza do go hand in hand, don't they? After all, we need to refuel and replace those burned calories. I'm curious, though, do you have a favorite post-ride pizza spot? Or perhaps a go-to pizza recipe for those times when you're not out on the road or trails? Let's hear it, and maybe we can all try it out and see how many slices we can manage! ‍♂️
