I've battled plantar fasciitis for the past 5 or so years. It isn't
constant, but rather comes and goes. Cycling is one activity that I can
do regularly without making the problem worse or without pain. Using
clipless pedals also keeps the foot placement such that it stretches
the tendons. All in all, i think cycling has helped me. Cheers.
