Hi everyone, I am new here. I am hoping some of you might have some advice for bike equipment that I should look into for a long road trip.
Just a little background. The longest road trip I have taken was from Waikiki to North Shore, Oahu. I did this trip twice using a single gear beach cruiser. I am perfectly happy taking long slow rides and am not competitive in any way. That being said, I would like this trip from Southern Kyushu (probably starting in Miyazaki) to Sopporo that I am planning to be a little more comfortable.
The trip will be roughly 2,500 km. I am not certain how long it is going to take, but I am guestimating 6-10 days. Again, I am not in any rush and if I can't reach Sopporo in the time allocated then I can just take a train back to Tokyo where I live. Any suggestions welcome.
