Please help again with cannondale purchase, GF Tassahara better?

I put a deposit on a Cannondale Terra. The shop also has a Gary Fisher Tassahara for the same price $529. I was happy with the terra until I read the reviews of the tass. What is the general opinion here, should I stick with the c-dale, or swith to tass?

Well, I can't give you any real comparative information between the two. But as an Owner of a Tassajarra I don't think you would be disappointed if you went with the Tass. I have put just over 300 miles on mine and it has performed beautifully!

I would expect both bikes to be fine.. if the C'dale fits you nicely then you may as well stick with it. Perhaps take the Gary Fisher one for a test-ride, and see what you think? Maybe it will 'speak' to you in a way the Cannondale doesn't.

Looking at the spec sheets the only real difference seems to be that the Gary Fisher has a 9 speed rear with an 11-34 cassette, whereas the 'dale has an 8 speed rear with 11-30.
