I am seemingly one of the few cyclists that does not see the benefits of weight lifting to improve performance (I just haven't seen the data to back up proponent's claims). I am, however, looking into the benefits of Plyometric Training relating to endurance athletes such as ourselves. Rick, I know you will jump in on this (and I await your response) but it would also be nice to hear differing opinions from others.

Plyometrics train the eccentric movements of which there is no
eccentric component to cycling. Unless you are a cyclocross rider who has to occasionally dismount and run.
