I am currently recovering from pneumonia which I caught in January, I seem to have caught it after the process at work that I was working on leaked carbon dust into the atmosphere. I was breathing this stuff in for several hours, I sensed my lips burning and that night and the next day I had headaches, that following night I had a temp of 103 and 3days later violently coughing up yellow phlegm. I have had severe chest pains and possibly a bout of pleurisy.
I have read that breathing in dust can cause pneumonia, does my experience sound like chemical pneumonia or chemical pneumonitis.
If anyone has experience in this area I would like to here from you.
