Umm think about the circumstances. Lance, in order to win 5 TDF (at the time) had to devote relentless hours in the saddle and off the saddle. The TDF was his number 1 priority, which meant that his wife and everything else in his life came after that. Now, I know many women that would not have appreciated those conditions; women want to feel important. (Am I wrong ladies?) With that in mind, I don't think that Kik could have been happy and as a result, it drove them apart because Lance probably had to choose which was more important and tragically it wasn't his marriage.

Do I blame him? Heck no. He did what no other person in history has done. I think he just made a simple mistake of trying to take the responsibility of marriage on before he was mentally ready. It has nothing to do with him being or not being a Jerk. He is not some womanizing pig and I wouldn't pass judgment without ever having walked in his shoes.

It`s hard to say who is jerk because we don`t know what was happening between them! I think Kik didn`t like his schedule, but you must consider that when you start living and making family with sportsman, especialy famous one! So I doubt that Lance gives occasion for divorce!
I doubt too that Lance took Sheryl because she`s famous..

But I was ****** when I didn`t see his children in Paris this year! It surprised me! It looked like he and Kik were on bad terms!

Well said. No one here knows all the details, so in reality, no ones opinion on the matter is worthwhile. I have always found that the people who are so quick to judge others are, more often not, worse in many ways than the ones they judge.

IT WOULD BE NICER I THINK, if I knew that KIK was ok about the whole thing..... coz she did say in the NYtimes article that she prolly wouldn't enjoy it if Lance dated somebody who was just like her.... I think I wouldn've been totally ok if I knew that nobody got hurt in the process... Who gives a **** what you or anyone think about some one elses relationship when you don't really know a whit about what happens behind closed doors? Your poll is also flawed, at least in my opinion. Is he a jerk in his personal life? Not that I know, but define jerk. You do not win the tour 6 times with the personality of Mr. Rogers.
You need to be sort of an ASS in most head to head high level competitions if you expect to win and I mean that in the most respectful way.

No one here has facts to report on this issue that aren't already well known. I don't know the truth behind it, but I don't make accusations and or judgements about people I don't know. Both Kristen and Lance have been quoted numerous times as saying the breakup was mutual, and in the best interest of the two of them. They have also both been quoted as saying they are doing everything they can for the children they have had TOGETHER. That doesn't sound to me like anyone is abandoning anything. So please, for the sake of everyone who reads these boards, refrain from making yourself look like a complete, bumbling, moronic person by making statements like "But a poor role model as father and husband.
