  1. I was waiting to see what would happen when the big trans fat
offenders ran into to new labeling law. This week, new label Pop [censored]
appeared at my local store. Fortuneately, they still had some of the
old ones on the shelf. The bottom line:

    Old Pop [censored]

    Total Fat = 5g each
    Saturated [censored] = 1g each

    New Pop [censored]

    Total Fat = 5g each
    Trans Fat = 0g each
    Saturated Fat = 2.5g each

So they took out the trans fat by cranking up the saturated fat! Not
sure this is a win healthwise. Has anyone seen this effect on other
    products?

I find the '0g *each*' label rather funny.. how much does a 'pop [censored]'
    weight?

Yes. The trans fats helped shelf life and so will replacing trans fat
with sat fat. Plus taste is a factor.
