Hi!

What is your thoughts on a short nap after training for recovery purposes. Something like taking a shake and them napping for 20-30 min?

I've heard that you want to keep your power nap to be less than 20 minutes so you don't go into deeper sleep which may throw off your sleeping schedule and you may also wake up groggy if you go into deeper sleep.

I'm currently trying out technique to sleep less, but not be sleepy.

What sort of training do you do that leaves you in a position to nap? whilst I'm generally a poor sleeper anyway, there's no way after any of my rides I'd be close to sleeping, I'm more up for it than the reverse?

I think it is a great way to start your recovery.

I was out canoeing one summer. I would stop around noon, find some nice rocks and take a nap. Never had a problem with sleeping at night.

I also think it's not a bad idea to do like 15-20min power nap before your rides so you can make sure to go hard.
