I have an origional powertap ( satin hub ) it has been bullit proof .
the cpu (head unit ) started acting funny :

1st the display started to show funny ...but watts worked
then
2nd download would not work unless i did the recovery data dump
or tapped it on some thing first

then ....

Now it will not hold ZERO ..I can reset and it drifts

My question is this ...

will a yellow powertap pro cpu ( 160 $ ) work ?

I already have the new sharkfin cradel on the bike and it woked fine before the cpu went sideways

Often, if the CPU is drifting and you don't have a 1st generation SL (that they changed), it's the torque tube that has gone on the hub. At least that's my experience with many PTs (and i do sell quite a lot of them). Usually, the torque tube lasts 2 - 4 years.

Ric, anyone,

As a PT user, just curious as to what it costs to replace a torque tube?
