I purchased one of the first generation Powertaps around year 2000 and the whole system ended up in the trash can. The computer microprocessor would just freeze after a certain amount of miles, reset would not help. They sent me a new head back then, same thing happened and by the third one I gave up on the system and trashed it.
I trust there has been lots of development since then, but would appreciate references from those who have used them for a couple of years or more, before I try for a second time.
