Ok here is the question(s).

If I use a Schrader adapter on a presta valve, can I use a regular air chuck on my air compressor to inflate my tires, and can I use a regular tire gauge to check the pressure?

Thanks

Tom

Yes.

Maybe. Sometimes works well, sometimes not. Depends on the particular gauge and tube as to how far down the stem the adapter threads. The gauge has to able to form a seal and depress the plunger as it would on the standard Schrader.

don´t reccomend it ; don´t be cheap , buy a track pump with guage and then , in an emergency , you can pump up your car tyres as well .

years ago the familly owned a gas station and seeing cycletyres explode due to cack-handed idiots leaning on them with 300 PSI upstream is an interesting sight - that look of suprise .
