I am about to buy a barely used women's Giant OCR2 road bike from a colleague. The original price was about $900. Does anyone have ideas on a fair dollar amount to offer on this? It seems to be in tip-top shape. Also, if anyone has opinions on the OCR-2, please do share. Thanks!

OCR-1: 105 group, lighter stem, lighter wheels. The retail price difference between a new OCR1 and OCR2 is about $200 bucks. You can get new OCR1 (2007 models) for $850 or less. You can also get comparable (to the OCR2) new bikes for $400-$600. I have the OCR1: great entry level to medium level bike, nice machine, smooth. I bought it new from my LBS for $850.
If the bike is in excellent shape, clean, does it have a lock? saddle bag? and you don't need to buy a new saddle and like the current pedals, i might offer $500 (and that's probably on the generous side). Also check eBay to see if there is anything similar selling. (i know there is a new OCR1 for $600+ shipping)
Good luck; it's a good bike.
