Yes, to the point that even those that don't deserve it usually don't
complain. BTW, I'm the easy one around here, all peace and light. I
haven't really, really insulted anyone on rbr since the first Gulf
War.
This is rec.bicycles.racing - and you want to blame pinch flats on the
tire. While not 100 percent the case perhaps, I'm guessing that in
99.99 %, the only way that would be true is if you mounted the tire
wrong - putting the inner tube pinched to begin with - or ignored a
problem that should have been visual, like an imperfection at the tire
seating. Only the latter would be the tire's fault.
Now we have at least one bike shop owner that probably sees more flats
in a week than I'll see for quite a while, so if they see it
otherwise, let them speak up. Personally, I fail to see that your
question was anything but a deliberate lead in to slap one tire or
promote the other. I'd cut you slack as a possible newbie, but then
you had to do that thing about 'correspondents weren't impressed.'
