I was down at Grand Haven in Muskegon, Michigan and I found a 70-80's Road Bike that's a poop red. I was wondering if I was to paint it what the steps would be. I believe it's a steel bike, so would I take any special steps to do it? This is what I was thinking.

    1. Take all of the bike parts off of the bike, etc.
    2. Clean the dust, etc. off of it.
    3. Sand.
    4. Paint.
    5. Gloss coat?

What type of paint do I use, and are there any other steps I should take to painting it? What type of paint should I use? Etc.

Thanks! I know I've been asking a lot of questions lately, but it's just because I'm getting into the sport!

GucciPucci, don't mean to bag on you, but how were you down at Grand Haven in Muskegon. They are two different cities and two different beaches. Just a small geography lesson.
