Put your life on the line for a stranger

Did he do what i just think he did?!?!    Honestly...this is getting out of hand when you (livethedream) are calling out people to meet them in REAL LIFE! Honestly, if a mod reads this, please, do us all a favor, and ban him. I don't want anyone of my family of cyclists here getting hurt. Seriously.

By the way LivetheDream...IF YOU HAVE NO HOME, CAR, OR JOB HOW THE HELL ARE YOU POSTING THIS ****?!?!?! Sit on that one.

Go ahead and say it: "My postings sound a lot like spam or scam!"

Mountain bike - not required.
Much more medication - required.

This thread would make good chapter for a psyche student who is writing a paper and using this thread as bait for material about the reaction of certain segments of society and how they react and respond to off the wall requests.

[Pharmr] this guy is off his rocker!!!! :) :)
Am I a Genius or Am I a Fool?

Give a bike a fish s/he will ride for a day...

Show a bike how to fish s/he will ride forever.

A Cyclist in the Making

DID YOU KNOW?

The bicycle is the most energy-efficient mode of transportation!

- to cycle 1 mile (1.6 Km) burns 35 calories
- to walk 1 mile burns 100 calories
- a car engine burns 1,860 calories per 1 mile

The average motorist spends 4 hours a day...
...either driving, maintaining, or earning the money for a car.

America spends 1 billion hours a year stuck in traffic...
...wasting 2 billion gallons of gas at a cost of $10 to $30 billion dollars.

Mountain Bikes gives access to places thought impossible to ride.

Bikes continue to make a vital improvement to the quality of our life.

On my best days, I'm here at the Fairfax County public library, looking for Freedom.

A guest pass get's you 30 minutes/day!

On the worst days, I think of no job, no car, no place of my own.

But my spirit is not broken...

Make a fish a fire, he'll be warm for a day. Set a fish on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

Like Fish on a Bike

"Like Fish on a Bike", a book by Brahm & Paul Piterski...

...is the story of Sonny, the little fish, who is the main character...

...who struggles to recognize his strengths!

The story really begins when a small bike is ditched in the little lake he calls home.

When Sonny begins to discover that he is not enough to push the bike, he begins a program of muscle building.

Once the bike is pulled out of the water...

...Sonny begins to discover his strengths (swimming sideways and backwards).

Sonny begins to learn the world as it is!

You may find this book Like Fish on a Bikeby Brahm & Paul Piterski @

Barnes & Noble Bookstore / Starbucks Coffee shop

@ 7 Corners (Arlington Boulevard [Hwy 50] & Leesburg Pike [Route 7] )

...where there’s also lots of lights, lots of people, lots of space...

...in short... It’s a safe place!

It’s at the border of Arlington County & Falls Church, Virginia, USA.

Again, before you say: “Your postings still sound a lot like spam or scam!”

Let’s meet so you can decide for yourself if I’m real or not.

All I have to say to you jhuskey,

"Safe Cycling" has to start with YOU jhuskey, the cyclist.

"Safe Cycling" cycling starts with YOU jhuskey

...the person pedaling on that bicycle seat.

Don’t hide that bicycle seat

...in your sock-drawer for fear of burglars

...and then forget to take it with you.

Protect yourself

Practice "Safe Cycling"

You aren't a victim; you're a cyclist, and a grown-up.

I never thought of that but I did write a draft for a resolution for the state of Tennessee that will amend some present safety laws.
It should pass and be introduced as an amended law this session.

But I will keep your advise in mind.

A hundred years ago more people here had a sense of community and connection,

...more like Coalville, Leicester.;)

They were born, raised, lived, worked, played, and died in the same place.

They lived in communities which people knew they needed each other.

A social network like CyclingForums.com

THANK YOU CyclingForums.com!!!
