I've purchased an inexpensive Nashbar C12 HRM. I'm new to this technology. Seems to work OK and have the basic functions I need. However, the instruction booklet is a little vague. Can anyone tell me what "TMR" and "STW" are? Also, what is the function/purpose of the "AL" setting? I assume it is alarm; but, how is it to be used....is it simply a timer much the way an alarm on a watch would function? Thanks for any help

Some random guesses:
TMR - timer (count-down?)
STW - stop watch (count-up?)
AL - alarm, whether this is a HR alarm or a time alarm, I guess the bookwork would say (?) -
