Question about Magnesium Sulfate

Discussion in 'Health and medical' started by John Schutkeker, Jan 25, 2004.

  1. Other than the wicked diarrhea, is there a reason why doctors don't prescribe magnesium sulfate for
constipation (or even impaction!)? That stuff really opens up the sluices bigtime, and both ions -
magnesium and sulfate, are highly desirable nutrients. So what's the problem with using it, other
than the diarrhea, as I said?
