Question about pumps

I have a pump that cost about 30.00 It has worked well. I recentley purchased a TT bike with Zipp wheels and with the longer valves I have trouble pumping them up. There is a constant leak while pumping and it takes for ever to get enough air in them. Would a better pump work better with the longer valves?

You're probably not getting a very good seal with your valve stem chuck.

If your valve stems don't stick up very far above the rim tubes with longer stems might help. Another alternative would be to find an air chuck that fits closer.
