  1. Hello Gurus!

I'm looking to get a tourer for a bit of fairly confortable winter road
riding. There are people seiing the Raleigh Venture on Ebay for arounf
£250, are they any good or should I spend similar money on something else?

    Cheers

    Mike

  2. Having worked on the raleigh touring bike range I think the steel framed
venture GT is the best value, the standard venture is an aluminium
frame and noticeably heavier than the venture gt. That said it's an
awful lot of bike for £250.

You might try scrouging around for a nice second hand 531 steel touring
bike, there's lots to be had for around your price range although I'd
recommend against building up a bare frame as it's much more trouble and
    expense than it's worth.

    Alex
