Does anyone know if the RANS rack can accommodate Ortlieb panniers? What other types of racks have
people successfully used on a RANS Rocket?

Thanks

The RANS HT rear rack mates very well with the Ortlieb Back Rollers. I use Ortlieb Back Rollers and
Front Rollers exclusively. I have an HT Rack that I used on my Stratus mounted now on my Bacchetta
Giro. I have also used the X- Eyed Underseat Rack (MidShip) on the Stratus. It also supports the
Ortlieb Back Roller on the Rocket. However, it will only effectively work with the shorter Front
Rollers on the lower frame of the Stratus. Here are some pictures:

The X-Eyed MidShip rack is currently out of production, but is probably the best choice for
the rocket.

Here is a very good article by Alex Wetmore and his adaptions of the Rocket for touring:

Pictured on the Rocket are Ortliebs.

i've been using ortlieb motorcycle ql2 sidebags on the x eyed underseat rack on my vivo. plenty of
ground clearance -- the bags are longer than they are tall. and they're full sized bags, each
holding 24 liters. only 31 cm high, versus 43 long. waterproof. 1500 grams, so not light. i've done
self contained touring on muddy paths with them, and they held up just fine. jeff baron
