I had a tricked out 69 AMX in 1969. Doug's headers, spring kit/recurved
distributor and a few other items. Oh, and a cool can. Used to get crushed
ice at MacDonalds.

The "X", I and some friends used to cruise various towns looking for
unknowing prey. We used to have a lot of fun with those non techies that
laughed at American Motors. Most weeks I made as much money from racing in
one night as I did at my day job (du Pont).

Those whose money resided in my wallet were no longer laughing at AMC. Just
a little old 69 AMX 390 four-speed. That's all.
