Marengo,
Not everyone works on a Friday, some work Sun. to Thurs. and some people
even take vacations or sick days.
Dietcokeaddict:
I work nights too and have for 10+ yrs, 6pm - 6am and I find most day
people just don't get the whole night shift thing(but that's another
story in itself).
The company I work for have health care professionals contracted to help
us with such issues, maybe yours does too. Management insists we keep
all the lights on in the building so we don't feel alienated, which
helps with moral. Some say it's a waste of energy, management says we
deserve the same working conditions as days does. Half the meetings are
on days and the other half are on nights.
- First, do you keep the same schedule on your days off? I found I had
to keep the same schedule to get myself in to a routine.
- Do you have any family that's up during your normal hours? My wife
works the same schedule as I do, which makes it easier for me.
- Keep things as you would on day shift. I eat breakfast when I get up,
it's just at 5pm now instead of 5am.
- Eat smaller meals, especially at work. The body doesn't seem to digest
things as well at night. YMMV
- Do you get any direct sunlight? I try to get 15 mins of sunshine a day
minimum. More of a winter thing than summer, but still important.
- Exercise
- Try doing a search for more info.
***What every you find for info will have to be revamped to fit your
Low-carb lifestyle, since most info still has a high-carb mindset.***
Nights can be a pain!
