Lots of older worker and retirees in our club and they prefer
recumbents. I paid US$504 for the EZ-1 designed by
http://www.easyracers.com and manufactured by sun bicycles. I weigh
over 250.

After 15 years of not riding and a large weight gain, I'm wanting to
get back into biking. I'm seriously looking at a Specialized Expedition

I want one of those. They look great. I am not a senior citizen yet nor
am I retired.....but those bikes look like fun. I could probably do
that 50 miles I am hoping for riding one of those. ;-)

Thanks for the note and the web site on the easyracers recumbents. Will
check these out. There is a lot to look at these days. I have an older
model Specialized Allez that's like new but it sure seems uncomfortable
now. Things have really changed the last decade. Will have more later.

In my opinion a recumbent is the only way to go especially if you are tired of all the little aches and pains the DF bike has to offer. Not only are 'bents fun but they can be surprisingly fast too.
