GTF; I steer clear of picolinate.
Why's that, Susan?
Nicky.
A study indicated that it might cause DNA damage. Why risk it when other forms don't have that risk?
Ah! OK, thanks. Is there a recommended dose for the GTF form, given that I don't want to mess with my current thyroxine balance? (and what does GTF stand for?)

GTF - glucose tolerance factor.
The typical dose is 200mcg per day. Up to 1000 mcg is considered the safe limit. I get hyperthyroid symptoms on 400mcg per day. I had to stop taking Cytomel after taking it, and have never needed it since.

Wow! Something to titrate slowly then : ) Do you happen to know if it's doing anything to your blood glucose levels?
I wonder what the structural difference is between the forms, presumably that's the reason for the different DNA affects?
