  1. Hi Chris

Do you know for how long the refuges on the GR20 close ?

I walked two thirds of the GR20 in late November a few years ago, with
thigh deep snow in places and all the refuges where open then - the few
others also walking said the refuges stay open all year round for
safety (but no heat, light or water).

We stopped when more heavy snow fell ...

    Thanks, Judy

  2. The refuges are open year round but only staffed between June and
    September.

By the way, there is a thread on this on the Outdoor Magic Forums called
GR20 - Spring Conditions. Paddy Dillon, the author of the Cicerone GR20
    guide, is answering queries there.
