Does anyone have any comments or additions to the list?

    - Memory, lots and lots of memory. For cycling I find that the eTrex
form factor is great but they keep adding units that are limited in the
amount of memory available. The 60C(S) has 56Mb - still not enough and
the unit is too big IME for cycling. The GPSMAP 76C(S) has 115Mb ...
still not enough but getting closer, and again the 76 series is too big
IME. I went from the Legend to the Vista mostly because 8Mb became too
limiting. Now 24Mb is not enough, and a lot of it is Garmin's
responsibility as the mapsets keep getting bigger and bigger and
bigger. Example: the mapset covering the area I cycled through in
northern Italy/southern Switzerland last year was 21Mb in MetroGuide
Europe version 4, 29 Mb in version 6, and something like 37 Mb in
version 7. The only way I could get the entire area into the Vista was
to use the version 4 data, which was largely out of date. Did not want
to carry a laptop. If there was a lot of memory they could get rid of
that 10,000 trackpoint limit and allocate more memory to the active
log. Lots of ills could be fixed with more memory - and lots of it.

I agree. 24M does not cover a trip longer than one day in my area.
This is my biggest complaints. There is 2G SD card. A SD slot would
even better if they can make it reliable under road vibration/shock.

    - Better antenna. Need reception under the trees!

Yes, although Legend C does a fairy good job already.

We haven't even discussed Magellan have we?

Does Magellan offer anything with same size and form
factor as the eTrex line..... but much more memory or
    maybe a slot for card?
