    I've just spent over 100bucks modding my muni to have a brake and rail
    adapter, and I don't really wanna spend 20 bucks to have some dinky
    peice of metal shipped to me from UDC, and I'm wondering, altogh I do
    have smaller hands is a brake extnder extremely neccesary? I've ridden
    muni's with brakes before, and hardly had to use the thing, only on supr
    steep stuff, to ease the ride.

    I'm thinking I;ll just be able to have the brake be close to the front,
    so when I do need to use it, I wont need the extender, and I can just
    use it at an angle.

    Is this possible? Is there a cheaper alternative than buying the
    extender from UDC?

    I don't have a brake extender on my muni, but I need one. hthe had
    position you need with out one is uncomfortable, and the lever isn't
    easy to get to. Its not all that bad, I think its worth it.
