hincapie said himself that he wasn't coming for the win, but got in

And it's not that Hincapie doesn't care about the monuments, he does. The
problem is, better riders than him also care.From today's Procycling online:

fourth.Wtf? George: it's just the same as winning any other race, just a lot
harder. There's no trick to it that you have to figure out.
Perhaps the problem is that he has forgotten how to win races altogether.
