I'm fairly new to bikes & biking, and have become interested through rebuilding an old racing bike as a project. Can anyone help me with refitting the rear wheel please?
The drop-outs have threaded screws on springs located at the back. I think that they're to aid with positioning of the wheel within the dropouts(?). Most of what I've read tells me to locate the wheel right at the back of the drop-outs - is this the best position to start with? The length of the dropout is about 40mm, and the frame is 24" Reynolds 531c if this helps?
