See another doctor -- one who really knows feet, like a podiatrist or an
ortho who specializes in feet.
(*duct tape*??? On a *wound*? -- sounds rather odd)
Get properly tested & be very sure that you are not diabetic -- and if you
are do not fool around with that foot, *really* get it properly treated,
even if that means not running for *weeks*.

Quoted message said:This is embarrassing. I'm in the pink of health, no joint injuries at the
moment, nothing keeping me from running except...I started swimming at the Y and occasionally using their grungy hot tub
and I got a wart on the bottom of my foot, on the walking surface between
the ball of my foot and the arch. It felt like a pebble on the surface of
my foot with every step.In early December I got some wart remover and started putting the little
acid dots on the foot per the instructions. Now I had a pebble on the
bottom of my foot plus an acid burn and it hurt MORE with every step. After about a month of this I went to the doctor and she dove in there
with a scalpel and cut out a bunch of tissue and suggested I duct tape it.Now I had an open wound with an acid burn on the bottom of my foot. I
kept it duct taped... until the duct tape started giving me a rash. Now I
had a rash on an open wound with a burn on the bottom of my foot.I took off the duct tape. Now I have a wound that looks like it's healing
but with some scar tissue and I'm back to feeling like there's a pebble on
the bottom of my foot and my wounded area feels bruised inside, like the
wart is trying to come back but can't get past the scar tissue so is just
growing internally.Meanwhile, I'm still a bone-headed jogger, so yesterday, after about 7
weeks of not running to let this thing heal, I ran a mile. That didn't improve it. It feels more bruised and sore than ever.
What would you do? I need this foot.
