They don't really check your purchases--what they do is mark your
receipt so you can't walk back into the store, refill your cart with
more of the same items and walk out using the same receipt.I don't think they'd do it and absorb the extra staffing costs if they

I have only had them do it when I have large unbagged items in my cart
and then they mark the receipt. Never had a problem with it. People
can have accomplices that load things in the cart after they have gone
thru checkout. Any theft raises ALL of our prices.
