  1. I'm wondering if you could build a frame with an arc welder? If not how
    are they put together? Thanks.

  2. Do you mean a stick welder? Those *can* be used for frame making,
    although it's rare. Stick welding is not usually precise and
    low-amperage enough to weld the thin wall tubing one normally finds on
    frames, but that doesn't mean it can't be done. If you mean TIG welding,
    that's how the wilder and aletis frames are made. I intend to TIG weld
    my titanium frame. MIG welding can be used, but TIG is superior, and MIG
    isn't really very good for titanium or aluminum. Steve Howard frames
    don't even bother with weldign or brazing, he just bolts things
    together.

    The Hunter frames are brazed, and the KHs are TIg welded, as far as I
    know. I hope this answers your question.
