Have to agree on that. Did he blew his chances by waiting too long
before going after Hinault/Savoldelli in the last climb? The downhill
chase virtually without help must have taken its toll.

No he made an error - he should have waited for the sprint. Arvesen
was by far the fastest of them.

Yes, probably, but it was difficult for him to know. If he was to
sprint against Savoldelli only no problem, but Hinault would have been
tougher, if it was not for the fact that he was totalyy knackered.
