Dumbass -

Mono or no mono, it's lame to blame a teamate for your own failings.
It's all the worse now that it's known Cunego was sick.

Simoni lost because he can't time trial. Maybe that's Cunego's fault
too.

The thing for Simoni to do would be to follow Basso's example and do
100k/day on the TT bike. That won't happen though and next time Simoni
doesn't win, he'll blame something else. Everything but himself. God
forbid that.

thanks,

This year Simoni simply didn't have the legs to win. It's as simple as
that. And he was bitter about it, but reluctant to admit it. He even
claimed that Savoldelli, who clearly had the weakest team in the Giro,
got more help in the peloton than he did. He should have been more
objective in his statements.

That's a paradox; it *seems* to be a contradiction, but it actually isn't.
Ask Ardila and Van Huffel.

He should have been generous with his checkbook.

Not true. Ask DiLuca, who burnt himself out dragging Simoni (and Rujano!) up
la Finestre when it was in his best interest to let others wear themselves
out on that climb.

"Di Luca basically just switched jerseys that day and put on a Lampre
jersey. "

Me, personally? I t would be sour grapes and vindictiveness tempered
by a general lack of sportsmanship. And the team motto is, "If you
don't kick a man when he's down, just when the hell would you kick
him?"

Don't have a clue about what happened at the Giro though.

If ale can't stand on its own legs and walk to the door, it isn't
worth worrying about.
