You'll need some torx screwdrivers and a small pry bar. Remember that
there are screws holding the case together that you can't see as they
are under some stickers. But if you rub your finger pressing down on the
sticker, you can feel the indentation of where they are.After you open the case, the magnets are sandwiching the read-write arm
base. You may have to remove a screw or two from the upper plate. Then
you can pry (I use a larger flat head screwdriver for this,) that plate
off. It will be held only by magnetic action at that point. Don't be
surprised at how difficult it is to get it off! You'll probably have to
unscrew the read-write arm to be able to get at the lower magnet.Steve Kramer
