  1. i have an older KH seat and the cover has a small t shaped
puncture/tear in it now. apart from using gaffer(duct) tape to cover it
before it gets any bigger does anyone have a better solution? i dont
know how easy it is to replace the cover if it does eventually split...

  2. It is difficult to "replace the cover" - took me a couple of hours to
    repair one.
Anyway, I borrowed an old vinal purse. I cut some from it, and then used
"liquid nails" to paste it on the inside of the tear.

Of course the black finish side is glued to the inside of the seat cover
(so that the black finish shows through the hole). It worked great!

I did not attempt to patch from the outside - I am thinking that
    wouldn't work as well. YMMV
