What the heck is a Vegan

A vegan is a vegetarian who eats no animal protein at all: no
milk, cheese, eggs, etc. They may be further restricting their
diet to various subgroups of the plant world, like those who eat
only raw plants, those who eat moslty fruits ...etc. As a group,
they are prone to protein and vitamin B-12 deficiencies.

One step up the food chain is an "ovo-lacto-vegetarian" who will
eat eggs and milk products for the protein.

Then you have the "No red meat" crowd who think that chicken and
fish are OK, but fellow mammals are off limits.

So are leather seats in the family auto off limits for 'vegans' ?

You'd be surprised at how many vegans wear leather belts & shoes and have
    leather interiors in their cars.
