I consider the saddle to be level when the nose is just at the point
where it doesn't quite cause vital equipment to be disturbed or
bruised when in the drops. As this "level" angle will vary from rider
to rider, I would only use the "carpenter's level" measurement as a
means of establishing a starting point. The position that *you*
require may be slightly off from that angle.
