Quoted message said:Next week I will be at the southern tip of Loch Lomond and wondered if
anyone could suggest some good hill-walks in the area.
I would also suggest the Cobbler. A good day is combining it with Ben
Narnain starting from the carpark at the head of Loch Long. Follow the
main Cobbler path uphill for about 800-1000ft and at the point where
it turns 90 left to traverse south, continue straight up the ridge to
Ben Narnain. There is a good path on the ridge although it might not
be immediately obvious as it only gets a fraction of the traffic of
the main Cobbler path.
From the summit of Narnain to avoid craggs and boulder fields go
north to the col between Narnain Ben Ime and the Cobbler and ascend
the Cobbler from there.
The main tourist path descends from between the North and Centre
peaks. A good alternate is to skirt to the south of the south peak on
a good path and head down the ridge before heading into the corrie and
rejoining the main path.
