Mercy, I though Rich was the only one allowed to do the predictions.

Well, I knew you would have a complete ratiional answer.

And what about all the other prescription drugs?? The violations just happened
to miss them. The supplements were recallled by the groves, but only 178 pks of
drug, amazing!

I can only assume she's asking why Pan's supplements were "recalled by the
groves" (I think that should be "droves") while *other* manufacturers'
prescription drugs weren't recalled. Maybe because no QC problems were
found with the other manufacturers.

On what basis are you making this statement Peter?

I don't think that much stuff bearing the Blackmore's label does

Why not add to your opinions the supplement business owned by Mayne Peter.
You know the one, you make out that is in New Zealand in the Quackery
magazines, when it is really in Australia and sits on all the Chemists
Shelves right next to Blackmores.
Right around the whole country sits Natures Own which of course is owned by
the "Cleaning Division" of Mayne Group. Why do you not mention their
Quality control responsibilities as well.

You will not admit that you are up the proverbial creek with your biased
pompous accusations. Why no mention about the recent conference in Australia
about the safety issues in Australian hospitals. An appalling record which
discloses three times the level of deaths (per capita) of that experienced
in the US.

http://aca.ninemsn.com.au/stories/342.asp

18000 people a year dieing due to these poor circumstances whilst the road
toll accounts for 1800 people a year.
Every day there is a story in the newspapers about how someone died because
of negligence. I think it is about time that the world realised what really
is going on in health in this country.
Get real Peter as you a pushing your own wheelbarrow which is full
of yourself only.

100% of the drug was recalled. Remember, pharmaceutical manufacturing is
mor ehighly controlled than OTC or herbal/supplement manufacturing, thus
allowing for less of an error.

Reading the article, it appears that Pan had just started making
the drug ... only 178 packets had been distributed to
pharmacists, the rest were still in the distributor warehouses.
They got recalled too, but it's easier in those circumstances.
