Re: Meon Valley Walk

  1. Yes, a shortish (7.5 mile) walk through a section of the Meon Valley,
Hampshire. Late start as was baby-sitting for a friend last night. Clare
and I had a 'sleep-over' and devour copious amounts of wine with our friends
on their return. Matthew provided a very hearty Full English breakfast
before we left, so a walk was needed to off-load some of the food.

Anyway, set out just after midday from Exton Village, very quaint place on
the banks of the narrow Meon River. Headed up through Corhampton Forest,
then north on the Wayfarer's Walk to join the South Downs Way at Lomer Farm.
Turned east to arrive near Beacon Hill, then back south to Exton. Not quite
as cold as I was expecting, in fact very pleasant walking conditions with
    some sunshine.

As usual .... some photos from along the route at the website below.
