(Sorry I had that comment in an earlier version of the posting but touching the Escape key threw it all away!)
I have a pair of coolmax socks also. The bamboo ones do seem to feel about as silky as those. I haven't worn the bamboo for a longer run yet (only normal walking). They did feel cooler than cotton, but maybe not quite as cool as the coolmax.
When the winter comes, I may try the tee shirt too. but I hoped someone might have done the experiment already.
