Hey, Jani - I sort of settled on a pretty cheap and effective backup
method. It requires the purchase of a second HD, but they're pretty
cheap these days. For convenience, you need to get a second drive
that's roughly twice the size of your main one. My main HD is only 60
GB, so I added a 120GB drive. And then bought a piece of software
called DriveImage. I think I'm only using about 25 or 30 gig, and I
can take an image of the drive in about 35 or 40 minutes. I keep
about 4 or 5 rolling images, just in case. And if you lose a file,
you can restore a single file. If you lose the HD, you can get a new
one, restore the image and be up and running in a flash. I believe I
paid $99.99 for the software, but it's worth every penny. I guess
that's not going to help you right now, but it's something to think
about in the future. Why is the heat murder, BTW - are you in the
Southwest US? I got up this morning after leaving a window open and
nearly froze my butt off. Although, it's supposed to be in the 80's
tommorrow - with thunderstorms, naturally.
