This dude found a fingertip in a pint of custard he was eating. He refused to give the fingertip back so it could be reattached to the the factory worker's finger and now it's too late. Apparently the winner of the custard case is the man nearly eating the fingertip. Supposedly he thinks it will be worth a huge award in a lawsuit. IMO his refusal to give the fingertip back will be a huge setback in the case, if it ever gets to court.
I thought re-attachment surgery had to be done very quickly for it to work -- seems like by the time the customer found it, it would be too late...
I think they said within 4-6 hours; in any event, it wasn't too late when the guy found it - typical ignorant SOB trying to get rich from someone's misery - he could have documented the find - had the ER docs document the find - etc. etc. - and still had a court case without having the finger, but was too stupid to know that. I hope they throw him out of court.

Oh, yeah, I forgot - it was ruined by the time the guy froze it - it can't be reattached after freezing; it should have been put in a bowl of ice water and kept chilled.
