I recommend some faux-carbon tape to apply to your aluminum post, it will
have a similar affect on performance as an actual carbon post.
If you need a new post, Arthur Harris recommended a Thompson, which is
certainly a fine post. I prefer the American Classic, as the seat angle and
clamping mechanisms are separate. Light and reasonably priced as well.
