Oh, the reason the trail is so impacted by motos now as opposed to then is
because in the 70s we didn't have Barbara Boxer turning traditional improved
areas with roads into wilderness areas. The Sequoia National Forest map I
have actually still has 5 jeep roads listed as such in the middle of a
recently added on to wilderness area. The motos are now shoved into a
microscopic section of the southern Sierras.
