He's starting to come across as one of those guys who sees a crime getting a lot
of publicity and he shows up to confess - over and over.

He dislikes people getting a lot of publicity by (allegedly) doping to
do what he did (allegedly) cleanly. Roughly speaking, if true cyclists
of LeMond's era were poets, the current bunch are "poetasters".
